Why has the office closed?

There is no one single reason for closing the practice. Dr. Ozeran has been a national expert on health information technology for several years and he has been increasing the time that he dedicates to that field. (He is President of Yuba City based Clinical Informatics, Inc.) He has also been heavily involved in promoting optimal use of our healthcare resources. After more than 10 years promoting effective and sustainable reform of our healthcare system, the reform that we got in 2010 fell far short of what was needed. Dr. Ozeran's surgical practice became a statistic of that failure. It fell victim to the pervasive and persistent dysfunction in our healthcare system. After serving thousands of community members and donating more than $2 Million in free or reduced cost care to the community, it simply no longer made sense to keep the office open, considering the costs and revenues of the business. Dr. Ozeran will miss hundreds patients with whom he and Tami developed lengthy and deep relationships.
