Having recovered from my busy call weekend, I have been working diligently
this week to complete the registration piece of this web site. It is now undergoing testing. Once the testing is complete, we will continue in beta test mode watching for any problems. The registration process is perhaps more difficult than you might imagine because there are three classes of participation in the campaign:
Friend,
Supporter, and
Organizer.
We collect information about individuals in each class proportionate to the responsibilities they have in the campaign.
I continue to be amazed at the types of SPAM I receive. Much of it serves no purpose, even to the spammers, so why do they send it? I have tried to ensure that it is very difficult if not impossible for someone to use the registration form to harm the campaign. To accomplish that, the registration process performs a number of checks for unwanted attacks. I hope that by this time next week that our registration process is working and that at least a few people have registered.
